Exporting Recipes For Use With Word Processor

The best way to prepare exported recipes for use with a word processor like Word or WordPerfect is to use the “no line break” option with NYC’s generic export format.

  1. Select File… Export Recipes...
  2. Select generic text file radio button, and check the "no line breaks" checkbox.
  3. Specify an export filename in the file dialog and press OK.
  4. Select which recipes to export and press Export.

This will create a file that will work fine in Word - it will have line breaks after the ingredients but the directions text will wrap as you would expect in Word.  So you can easily use Word to publish your exported NYC cookbooks.
