List Recipes Assigned to Two or More Categories

In a large cookbook, you may have thousands of recipes in a single category, so when you click a category in the recipe selection window, you see a large list of recipes.

If you are looking for a more specific list of recipes, you can multi-select categories to narrow the list to those recipes that are assigned to BOTH categories.  For example, when you click your Seafood category, you see “Grilled Salmon”, “Mahi Mahi”, and “Shrimp Stir Fry”.  When you click your Chinese category, you see “Moo Goo Gai Pan”, “Shrimp Stir Fry”, and “Spicy Pork and Vegetables”.  If you multi-select Seafood and Chinese categories, only “Shrimp Stir Fry” appears in the recipe list.

To multi-select categories, click a category then Cntl-Click one or more other categories.  As you add categories to your selection, NYC narrows the list to only those recipes that are assigned to ALL of your selected categories.

If you perform a keyword Search (press Search… button in the recipe selection window) with multiple categories selected, the search range will only include those recipes assigned to ALL of your selected categories.  In other words, the keyword Search… will be confined to the narrow list of recipes.
