Using Qualified Units

Qualified units are measurement units that include a mass unit in parenthesis, as in the following examples:

can (16 oz)

clove (0.5 oz)

egg (6 oz)

Mass-qualified units improve accuracy of your recipes for use by others.  They also improve accuracy of NYC's nutrition analysis and computing the cost of the shopping list.
