How to get the nutrition analysis for a single item (e.g., “beer”)

 

Two ways:

 

1.  Open the Nutrition database, find and click on the item "alcoholic bev,beer,reg,all" or another beer entry as appropriate.  It's nutrition constituent quantities are displayed.  You can use the Edit… Find… command on the main menu (when the nutrition database window is open) to find all occurrences of items of interest. 

 

2.  Open a recipe that includes the ingredient you want analyzed.  Make sure the ingredient is linked to an item in the nutrition database (dbl-click it and link it if not), then rt-click the ingredient and select Nutrition Analysis... .
